Responsibility for Events

Groups can be designated as responsible for Events

If you enable the "Responsibility for specific Events" option under "Organisation" - "Events & Tasks", you can assign Groups to individual Events that are responsible for the Tasks of those Events.

Where?

You manage responsibilities in the Event details - at the top, in the tile containing the Event details. Under "Event responsibilities", click "Manage". You can then select one or more of the Groups created in the system.

Effects

If Groups are responsible for an Event, that Event is given priority in the Helper section for members of those Groups. Helpers who belong to the relevant Group initially only see the Events for which their Group is responsible. They can change the filter settings in the Helper section to see all other Events available to them, but initially they only see the specified Events. This increases the likelihood that the Tasks for these Events will be taken on by the assigned Groups.

Important: The Tasks for these Events are not reserved exclusively for the assigned Groups. Any Helpers who are eligible to take on the Jobs associated with the available Tasks can take on these Tasks.
